The New Intel® i7™ Processor is here !

Intel® has gifted all it users their personal bullet trains in terms of computation by unveiling the new Nehalem/core i7 procesor. The i7 processor is the latest entrant to join Intel`s high speed & performance oriented family.
With the i7 you can multi-task applications faster and stream high quality content like Blu-ray movies or heavy applications easily, thanks to the combination of Intel® Turbo boost technology and Intel® Hyper-Threading technology.

I7 information :

Benefits :

Intel Core i7 processors deliver an incredible breakthrough in quad-core performance and feature the latest innovations in processor technologies:

Intel® Turbo Boost technology maximizes speed for demanding applications, dynamically accelerating performance to match your workload—more performance when you need it the most.

Intel® Hyper-Threading technology enables highly threaded applications to get more work done in parallel. With 8 threads available to the operating system, multi-tasking becomes even easier.

Intel® Smart Cache provides a higher-performance, more efficient cache subsystem. Optimized for industry leading multi-threaded games.

Intel® QuickPath Interconnect is designed for increased bandwidth and low latency. It can achieve data transfer speeds as high as 25.6 GB/sec with the Extreme Edition processor.

Integrated memory controller enables three channels of DDR3 1066 MHz memory, resulting in up to 25.6 GB/sec memory bandwidth. This memory controller's lower latency and higher memory bandwidth delivers amazing performance for data-intensive applications.

Intel® HD Boost significantly improves a broad range of multimedia and compute-intensive applications. The 128-bit SSE instructions are issued at a throughput rate of one per clock cycle, allowing a new level of processing efficiency with SSE4 optimized applications.

Availibilty:

Intel will be launching three new Core i7 products in the next couple of weeks, at 2.66GHz, 2.9Ghz , 3GHz, and 3.20GHz, at prices ranging from $285 to $999 (qty. 1,000).Intel has announced that the official unveiling of the i7 processor will take place on the 17th of November 2008 in San Francisco.

Conclusion :

We batched 100 photos to be compressed using the Adobe photoshop CS4 with a variety of processors to compare which gives us maximum output. The results found are are :

Recommendation

Based on these comparisons, we would recommend the Intel® i7™ Processor. It performed well in all of the tests and had good standard features for the price.

71% of water yet the thirst

Finally Blogdom (blogdum ?? ) kicks in..!
So i was talking to this friend of mine , who said i can be india`s next Khuswant singh ( minus the perverted jokes ! ) , so here i am proving him wrong !

So wat issue am i supposed to puke on....umm...monsoon being the flavour of the season , seems to be an ideal topic 2day ...
Staying here in the island city , i always felt water was something i can take granted for , but now , with Lord Indra not marking his attendance this year , it seems we are the one`s blacklisted !

On a serious note , brothers and their cute sisters , buck up and shampoo once in a week (if possible have bath once a week too ! ) , for we might still be lucky enough to have this life inducing drug pour down our taps , but this scenario isnt spanning across India ...

Down South , karnataka faces a drought like situation with Mr.Yeddyurappa(C.M) turning to lord almighty to be his knight in shining armour !

In the Cauvery river basin for instance, the total water available is around 16 tmcft, against 41 tmcft in June last year. Water level in the basin’s four reservoirs — Harangi, Hemavathy, KRS and Kabini — is far too less compared to last year. The situation is similar in the Krishna basin which has six major reservoirs — Bhadra, Tungabhadra, Ghataprabha, Malaprabha, Almatti and Narayanapura.

Same is the story up North , Punjab , Harayana , our wheat & paddy havens are suddenly fighting to keep water flowing in to their fields . Just imagine if this is the story in agriculturally developed states , how would the tribal areas of Maharshtra , Orissa be managing .

Months back Mr.Rahul gandhi highligted the woes of Kalavati , a fragile dalit woman in the Lok sabha , only to gain political mileage out of it . Her story is like the thousands of families from the agricultural background , her husband , a farmer comitted suicide , and she is currently single handedly managing her family with 9 children .She came to New Delhi with hopes of meeting Mr. Gandhi, but the MP's office told her that he is too busy to meet her. Rahul Gandhi’s office stated the young MP was too busy for an appointment , which is the precise reason why we vote , to have our voices heard .

Some one rightly said , "The Next world war is over water" , if that is to be true , its still something far off , but clearly in the present , the power to help & save vests with us . Please use water responsibly , for its your luck that you dont have to walk miles to have your buckets filled unlike thousands .
Mumbai-The Island city ...currently faces a deficit of 250 million litres of water everyday , so it is beyond mine & your luxury to have it pour down the sink without a reason . In present scenario , unless we reduce the intake of water , approximately only 20 days worth water is currently tapped in a few reservoirs .

Unless each one of us , adopts a few ways to reduce our consumption , the flavour of the season for robbery would be Water !
Jotted below are a few ways to save water , hope you guyz find it useful & also please forward this to your friends , because its a cause & unless you participate in it , its listed to be a failure !

1. Never put water down the drain when there may be another use for it such as watering a plant or garden, or cleaning.

2. Verify that your home is leak-free, because many homes have hidden water leaks. Read your water meter before and after a two-hour period when no water is being used. If the meter does not read exactly the same, there is a leak.

3. Avoid flushing the toilet unnecessarily. Dispose of tissues, insects and other such waste in the trash rather than the toilet. Also use a bucket to flush urine , as it requires only 0.2 litres . Calculate how much we`ve wasted to date !
4. Avoid having a bath in a shower , use a bucket instead.

5. Do not use running water to thaw meat or other frozen foods. Defrost food overnight in the refrigerator or by using the defrost setting on your microwave.

6. Never install a water-to-air heat pump or air-conditioning system. Air-to-air models are just as efficient and do not waste water.

I was one amongst those lazy ediots , who would flush and run away , but i guess i`ll feel guilty when i read tommorow`s newspapers , and how my brothers walked miles to get a bucket of drinking water..

" You will make a difference only if u FEEL it .. "
Cheers & all the best !
